Hi there! My name is Krista and I’m the owner, designer, and illustrator here at Pretty Paper Studio. I live in London, Ontario Canada with my husband, 2 cats, and our beautiful, turbocharged baby boy!
My story in a nut shell…
I’m pretty sure I entered this world with a box of crayons in hand ready to create my first masterpiece! I have been artsy for as long as I can remember. It was a no-brainer when I decided to go to college for graphic design.
After graduating in 2006, I started work for a company designing gift products and memory keeping items; everything from decorative photo frames, to inspirational mugs, baby record books, and wall art. My designs were sold in many large retailers across the globe including Chapters/Indigo, Kohl’s, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Toys R Us. The designs I really enjoyed doing were Disney Baby gift products which were sold in Walmart’s across Canada. This is where I discovered my love for children’s designs.
Fast-forward to the summer of 2013, I married my best friend who is a fun-loving, child-at-heart. He gave me the push I needed to start Pretty Paper Studio later that year. Two years later, we were blessed with our rambunctious baby boy, and I am lucky enough to spend my days with him while running my shop from my home based office.
